About

I fell in love with photography in 2009 while living in Cape Town, South Africa. It was my first time overseas, and I had just graduated in Environmental Law back home in Brazil.

Ever since then, my camera(s) have been a tool of wander, learning and discovery. They have propelled me to personal and professional experiences in multiple parts of the world, and they continue to inspire me to pay closer attention to the world around me.

With a master’s degree in Human Ecology from NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal), I spent two years documenting cultural, social and environmental stories across Southeast Asia, based out of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

While the art of photography has been the central driving force of my career, I have also worked as a researcher, volunteer coordinator, project and operations manager for organizations such as AIDGLOBAL, Greenpeace, GIZ, GGGI, and ETIV do Brasil.

After almost six months of traveling across South America on my bicycle, followed by another six months in Cartagena (Colombia), I moved to California in 2017.

I joined Patagonia in 2019, where I work as a Digital Asset Manager | Photo Business Affairs. I am also a member of our BIPOC Community Council, and I serve on the JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Grants Council.

My passions extend beyond photography and my work for Patagonia; I enjoy volunteering for the causes I believe in, reading, watching movies, surfing, and spending time outdoors. I have been photographing exclusively on 35mm film with a Leica MP since 2022.

I currently reside on the ancestral and unceded homeland of the Chumash people in present-day Ventura, California.
